Transgendered Homicide Statistics

Out of every 100 000 people between 3 and 10 are transgendered. This means that out of the 300 millon people in the USA, between 9 and 30 thousand people that are transgendered.

Of those approximately 8 transgendered people are murdered every year in the USA alone.

This corresponds to a homicide rate between 26 and 90 for each 100 thousand transpeople. The estimated mean would be 58 transpeople for each 100 thousand transpeople.

In comparison, the yearly homicide rate for the US population is 5.5 for each 100 thousand people.

Black people are 6 times more likely to be murdered compared to caucasian people.

Compared to the general public, transpeople in the USA, are approximately 10 times more likely to be murdered.
